The Holy Eucharist is the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source and summit of our Catholic Faith. Our seminarians await the day they can bring the Eucharist to you and your family. Learn more about how you can support them.
MEET OUR SEMINARIANS
The seminarians of the Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon are climbing the mountain of formation. With courage and conviction, these men seek to serve the Lord in whatever way He calls them. It can take nine years of studying and formation to become a priest for the Archdiocese of Portland. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, the men earn a master's degree in theology at seminary. Through the years of discernment, study, and pastoral ministries, they are formed to lead and serve in the image of Jesus Christ. Seminarian life is demanding, but it is also a place of joy, camaraderie, and deep learning. And God always gives us the grace we need to do what He asks us to do.
God’s grace can often appear in the form of help from others. Your prayers and gifts make formation possible. Each seminarian’s expenses can cost more than $50,000 annually. One hundred percent of your gift to this appeal will go to the formation of priests who will serve the faithful of western Oregon.
Thank you and God bless you,
